The short version: the notes you type, the photos you add and the pages you export never leave your phone. We have no servers and no user accounts, so there is nothing for us to read. The app does connect to Google for two things only: showing ads and downloading display fonts.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how the Text to Handwriting Android application (the “App”) handles your information. The App is published by HKV Studios (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hkvstudios@gmail.com.

By installing and using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. Content you create stays on your device

The App works entirely on your phone. Specifically:

Text you type — your notes and their formatting are saved in the App's own private storage on your device.
Photos you add — if you insert an image into a page, whether from your camera or your gallery, the image is read from your device and placed into your document locally.
Custom fonts you load — if you choose your own .ttf or .otf font file, it is read from your device and used only for rendering your pages.
Files you export — PNG, JPG and PDF pages are written to your device's storage. If you tap Share, Android hands the file to whichever app you pick; what happens after that is governed by that app's own privacy policy.

None of this content is uploaded to us or to anyone else. We operate no servers that receive your documents, images or fonts, and we cannot access them.

3. Information collected by third-party services

The App includes services from Google that collect information directly. We do not receive this data ourselves; it is handled under Google's own privacy policy.

3.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows banner, interstitial and rewarded ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

your device's Advertising ID (a resettable identifier) and, on newer Android versions, Privacy Sandbox signals such as Topics and attribution data;
your IP address and approximate, IP-derived region;
device and app information such as device model, operating system version, language and App version;
ad interaction events, such as which ads were shown, viewed or tapped.

Ads may be personalised based on this information. You can control this:

Reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Opt out of ad personalisation in the same settings screen.
Remove ads entirely with the one-time Remove Ads purchase inside the App. Once purchased, the App stops requesting ads.

3.2 Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. Google handles your payment; we never see or store your card number, billing address or any other payment detail. The App only stores a single flag on your device recording that the purchase was made, so ads stay switched off. See the Google Privacy Policy.

3.3 Fonts (Google Fonts)

Some of the App's interface and handwriting typefaces are fetched from Google's font service the first time they are used, then cached on your device. Making that request reveals your IP address and basic device information to Google. Because of this, the App is not a fully offline application. If the device has no connection, the App still works and falls back to the fonts bundled with it.

4. Permissions the App requests, and why

Camera and photo access	Requested by Android only at the moment you choose to add a photo to a page. If you never add a photo, the App never asks.

5. What we do not do

We do not require an account, a sign-in, an email address or a phone number.
We do not upload, read or store your notes, images, fonts or exported files.
We do not collect location data, contacts, call logs, messages or your list of installed apps.
We do not include any analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

6. Retention and deletion

Because your content is stored only on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual notes and images inside the App at any time. Uninstalling the App removes all of its locally stored data, including your saved text, settings and the Remove Ads flag. Files you exported to your device's storage or shared to other apps are not removed by uninstalling, and remain yours to delete.

Data held by Google in connection with advertising and purchases is retained under Google's own retention policies, which we do not control. You can manage or delete much of it through your Google Account activity controls.

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at hkvstudios@gmail.com and we will act promptly. Because the App displays advertising, we recommend parental supervision for younger users.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to it or withdraw consent.

Your content: you can exercise these rights directly, since the data sits on your device — edit it or delete it in the App, or uninstall the App.
Advertising data: use the Android Advertising ID controls described in section 3.1, or Google's account controls.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR): our legal basis for showing personalised ads is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through your device settings or by buying Remove Ads. Non-personalised ads rely on our legitimate interest in funding a free app.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. You have the right to know, delete and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

9. Security

Your content is stored in the App's private storage area, which Android isolates from other apps. No system is perfectly secure, so we also recommend keeping a device lock screen enabled and your Android version up to date.

10. Third-party links

The App links to the Google Play Store and to this policy. Once you follow a link out of the App, that destination's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites and services we do not operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. The revised version will be posted at this address with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted in the App's store listing. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
